Call me crazy, but we get this information from our RAS boxes themselves,
using the OID's provided by the vendors. We monitor Ascend 4000, 3COM TC, and
Ascend/Lucent MaxTNT boxes in this manner. Do some RAS vendors not put this
info out there?

FreeRADIUS handles only RADIUS. You'll need something else for
dial-in and modem control.
