I am using Freeradius1.0.1 with SER 8.0.14. Anybody
knows how toconfigure Freeradius to do digest
authentication which is sent by SER. I am using
Postgresql as my backend.

I have a situation where I need to proxy (authentication and accounting) based not on realm, but on whether our LDAP database contains the user name.
For authentication this is easy, but for accounting, it proves a little more difficult.

I think you've pointed me in the right direction. I'm going to buy a Linksys WRT54G router, run OpenWRT on it, and then load chillispot onto it to act as a captive portal.. and then redirect authentication to my radius server.

You could have both the captive portal and radius server on the same machine if you like!
So you'd have:

What I have done is rather than using 802.1x authentication, I use MAC
authentication. This way all I have to do is ensure the mac of the radio
