Here is a set of patches for enabling favorites from the OSD. It reuses
most of the code that exists already but was not in use, with some
modifications to make it useable :)
I have made some changes to the GUI objects too (bugfixes) and to the
recordserver.

The code that makes the paths absolute when loading the config does not
work with GAMES_ITEMS (it expects a tuple with two elements, but the
GAMES_ITEMS are more complex than that). This patch disables simply the
absoluting of the paths for games.

For testing the mbox-feature, you can put the attached file somewhere and
use it in the plugin's configuration, this should be a standard-mbox-file,

It's not as elegant as I'd like, but it writes an FXD file with all
the info when the recording begins. I had to move fxdimdb.py from

The new script doesn't record the pid properly... I couldn't figure
out why, but the pid in /var/run doesn't exist. I think it has
something to do with the multiple copies being started, but I reverted
back to the shell version because it can start/stop freevo properly.
