Hi, I dont have this font. But since its not part of the runtime and the binary
runtime works where the gentoo specific one does not I had discounted this.
I found a font cld arielbd.ttf renamed it and dropped it in. I dont know if this
should work, but it didnt. Other than that, if
Did you apply the SDL_ttf patch from CVS? The crashing over fonts issues
was apparently fixed by that? I never needed it myself, but it should
work.

I would like to know if it's possible to have a progressive scan
output on tv ?
Sorry, but generally, no.
To run progressive scan (non-interlaced) video on a standard tv is not
possible. It is a limitation of the old tv-tech, and can thus not be
fixed just by putting in a modified signal.
There are several howtos
however, with pre4 runtime, all you need to do is change the output to
dxr3 in the freevo.conf file, if I am correct. That isn't including the
kernel support you need to do. Do a google search for that, or follow
the link in the freevo docs.
If that doesn't work for
Thought I'd ask here - because the mini-itx boards use via audio,
someone might have researched this already, or even tried something.
My freevo system, mostly used to play back preencoded media, is based
on a microatx motherboard that has integrated via audio. To date, I've
Hi Mark,
I'm afraid you're at a point where I'm not longer sure how to help;
I'm not at all familiar with Gentoo... maybe it might be worthwhile to
just install the microsoft corefonts and copy the file
Arial_Bold.TTF into your skins/fonts/ directory.

Hi,
Great job! I've been waiting for this, specially for
web-radio.
There was no binary release so I downloaded the
source, compiled with make (no error) and tried to
run. This is what I get:

I have the microsoft wenfonts, I have also asked a friend to look on his windows
system, the closest I can come is arialbd.ttf. I dont know if this is the same font
or not.
I could just use the binary runtime. I can live with that. Unless it is beneficial
to others to look for this font so

I just installed Freevo 1.3.2 and noticed something.
When navigating through menu with remote when i click
on music, music folder appears. Normally i just hit
play on remote and it takes me to next area. However
it does not work for me and I have to hit enter on
keyboard to go to next area. I have
correction: I can access TV Guide folder with remote.
The others I cannot. The Games one I don't have
directory setup for, so I'm not sure about it.
