Well, I've tried installing video drivers for both Linux and Windows XP and
have not had any success with either. As a result of this, video is a
little sloppy and it is sluggish. I've tried all different versions of
drivers both from CD and website.

3d isn't so important for dvd/divx, playback.
A mini-itx M9000 or M1 will do fine for these tasks. I'm using a m9000
and have no problems , and I'm not using the onboard mpeg2 decoder (yet)

hello,
is it possible that the imdb.py script doesn't work properly anymore (with
1.3.4 running)? the imdb.py -s something doesn't deliver any results and
the id's seem to have changed. they look like tt0285823 for example. i
already browsed the cvs source, but the helpers directory is empty.

4) Sound issues. AIUI, to get 5.1 sound out, you can either use the
TV-Out port as an SPDIF connector, or use the headphone/mic/lin-in
sockets together. If I need TV-out, and I'm using a WinTV card that
connects to the line-in, can I still get 5.1
Hi,
iirc tvtime shows the frequency and channel number on the OSD. You can also
find some info in the ~/root/.tvtime/stationlist.xml

Will I have to download that app (iirc tvtime) or is that usualy
included in a distro?
You see all I need to do is tune my tv card in, also even if I cant get
the programme schedule can I just set the time I want it to record a
perticular channel? Just like a vcr.
I have to say, it's a very

One common problem. 'It hangs' doesn't help much. If I don't know

If that allows me to do what I want then great, The confusing thing is
that there are 2 areas in Freevo that allow me to specify channells but
I am unsure which one actualy sets up the channel order. IE I can fine

Hi All!
My Configuration:
Freevo: 1.4.0.1-rc1
Webradio Plugin
URL: rtsp://213.200.64.234/farm/*/encoder/swr3/livestream.rm
Mplayer Args in local_conf.py
MPLAYER_ARGS = { 'dvd': '-cache 8192',
'vcd': '-cache 4096',
'cd' : '-cache 500 -cdda speed=1',
did you modify freevo to get rid of a bug in the recording portion as the
online FAQ suggests?
note, I have never ever seen the error reported by the bug, but performing
that step fixed my recording woes on every machine I have made (4 freevo
boxes and counting!! even my mother loves her freevo!)

Freevo seems to ignore mplayer settings or not recognize file correctly!
I have the cache size for mplayer configured to 256 (as mentioned above) but
the following is what I found if I do a ps -aux | grep mplayer during freevo
is playing the webradio.

I am having a bit of a problem with freevo, as the docs are a little thin
in some places (understandably so). I am using Freevo over tdfxfb, and I
have switched the skin back to blue_round1 (interestingly enough, I CAN'T
set it back to back to the other one, which I thought was blue_round2).
