I made an AIM plugin a long time ago. My intent wasn't to chat from my TV but to use it as a control point and for notices and reminders. You could get a message to your desktop 10 minutes before your favorite show starts, or use your chat window to search the schedule or set a recording. -Rob

This events only goes to the TV menu, at least in Freevo 1.7.3. From there I still need to select TV Guide and a channel. I'm hoping to start the actual DVB-app with a single remote button. The channel could automatically be the first from channel list or even better the last channel watched. -
