Cathy, My Pismo sees my PC card adapter as soon as I insert (has to be pressed in hard) it with the CF card without having to restart. The adapter is hard to insert all the way, which puts the cheap little eject button at risk when you extract the adapter. I am running 9.0.4 on a Pismo 400, 512 me

I can't recall the exact reason for the appearance of an appliance being 'not grounded' but they really are. Something about the internal circuitry... and it gets grounded thru the neutral prong on the plug. so while it may appear that it isn't grounded because the third leg is missing on the plug

Everyone is talking about these adapters being cool - but the problem is the ones that Apple is recalling don't have a grounding plug. Check and see - all of the adapters for PPC PowerBooks that I have seen have come with a grounding plug somewhere on the plug - and even if this grounding isn't t

If you do qualify, you'll need the serial # and manufacturer of the adapter in order to complete the form as well as the model #. The model # that needs replacing, is model M4402. Fill out the form and Apple will send a new adapter and a prepaid mailer for returning the old one. I'm happy I wi
