Well, first, laptop (2.5 inch) hard drives don't come in the 7200rpm flavour yet. The highest rotational speed you'll get is 5400rpm, which is pretty good anyway. Second, an external hard drive is just an internal hard drive in a case with an adapter (IDE to firewire)...so they're always goin
