yep I was running the latest Panther when the PMU went.. I've been looking
in the Mac shop for used portables - seems no one is willing to part with
their macs without forking out a lot of $$ (AU$ that is :)

At a most inopportune time, while away on business(!), my Wallstreet's 14.1
screen is suffering from flashes of white clouds forming occasionally on the
screen while in use, before totally fading out to white. Faint little
outlines of what SHOULD be displayed only remain thru the white...
I forgot to add that, if I put my WS to sleep by closing the lid (while the
screen is faded out 2 white), the problems disappears for a moment on wakeup.
Or goes completely away, as it has right now...
