Well, I can talk about the DVD Drive only. Some Pismos came with the LG Scrap DVD and the rest with a Matshita one. Matshita is a division of Matsushita, which makes Panasonic, National and Technics products. I saw that the LG DVD can be replaced with a Panasonic one (Matshita). Here's the link: h

My 14" Wallstreet starts up with 10.2.8 Jaguar okay but the backlight goes out during the process and stays that way until I turn it up. Is this a PRAM battery issue? Anybody know where I can get a replacement PRAM battery? (Part Number 616-0102 is what the PRAM battery says) It is a flat compos

I own an AL PowerBook. I researched both the iBook and ALBook. I went with the PowerBook 15" and feel this was a better decision. I would advise the PowerBook. I would also strongly advise the AppleCare Program. It isn't cheap but it has already paid for itself with me--twice! Best Regards, By

But I'd assume that a lossless copy would contain identical sound to an original AAC encoded. Compared to a CD raw file, AAC have of course some data missing, but that was in place to start with obviously. Yeah. Maybe with time Apple will add an option to (re)purchase music with lossless encoding

FreePlay or some such. It required an iPod, making the entire thing largely pointless, since an iPod can play ITMS songs. I wanted to rip mine into MP3's I could play on my little Rio player. Ah. But then you can't really escape recoding, can you? (since AAC and MP3 are different formats)
