Cleaning wipes for PB

2005-12-18 Thread AMBER K
Hi, Just wondering if anybody has used the Allsop Clear View Wipes for cleaning your PB and screen ? Are they okay to use ? I did see the more expensive iMonster and iKlear solutions but of course they were more than twice as expensive as this canister of 100 pre-moistened wipes. It does

I just did a Security Update on my Pismo, OS X 10.3.9, and I am having trouble accessing the internet. I now have to select (instead of it being automatically recognized) my home Airport network everytime I open up the lid of my PB. When I try to use a browser, I get the message that it can't

Are you sure it's safe to use alcohol wipes on laptop screens? I thought they had a coating that would be damaged by alcohol. I've been using Klear Screen, which states alcohol and ammonia free on their web site. http://www.klearscreen.com/ Regards, Harry Corsover --- On Dec 18, 2005, at

Hi Harry, I was wondering about that too as those Allsop wipes state they have alcohol in them. I went to Best Buy today and unbelievably, the Geek Squad guy told me to go to Canadian Tire and buy degreaser (Liquid Green ?) to clean the screen. I can't imagine how horrible that would be

Now, here's my $0.02, but I've used several different methods to clean laptop screens over the years, but I've had no problems using rubbing alcohol. However, I've not tried this on my Lombard, or anything newer than my old 190, so I don't know how it'd affect the newer screens. Caleb On

I'll add my 2 cents too! Non-alchohol baby-wipes. they're also good for cleaning ink off your printer. John On Dec 18, 2005, at 9:38 PM, Caleb Cupples wrote: Now, here's my $0.02, but I've used several different methods to clean laptop screens over the years, but I've had no problems

I actually just tried that on my Lombard, and I've been pleasantly surprised. It's kinda interesting what homebrew remedies that we Mac users can come up with, given the resources. Now, if anyone will come up with a cheap way to power my Lombard without an AC adapter for 3-5 hours and without

I've been talking with my grandpa, whom I converted to a Mac, but he's been complaining of his mini feeling slower than when it was new. I'm speaking from my limited experience with OS X and its behavior but running Jaguar on my Lombard (G3/400, 192 MB RAM) feels more responsive than his Rev.

I did when it started, and it's showing all 256 MB. If I remember correctly, the mini only has one bank of RAM, so if it didn't show up, it wouldn't run. I may be wrong on my assumption that it's only got one RAM slot, though. It still shows all 256 MB RAM. This is my question, would the file
