Is RAM used in Lombard the same stuff that goes in Pismo? My Mom's
Lombard hard drive just died, and it makes more sense to buy a new
machine at this point (case is in brutal shape) than to replace the
drive. I'm hoping to pick the carcass before we bury it.

I've tried it. It is a pain in the neck, and probably not worth
spending time on. The yo-yo's are difficult (not impossible) to get
apart, and as the usual issue is the cord, you probably won't get
anywhere with repair attempts.

Has anybody on the list purchased OWC branded RAM before? I am very
tempted to (finally) purchase some RAM. 256MB is 28.95! I was hoping
to max out the RAM on my machine (2x512), but I'll settle to take it up
to 512 at that price.
Thanks.

Hello:
Need RAM for the Pismo. According to my manual, I am looking for
low-profile un-buffered PC100 3.3 Volt 144pin SODIMM. The question is,
Parity or Non-Parity, or does it matter? It specifies un-buffered,
which I take to mean Non-parity--is this correct?
Regards,
Dante.

that works for the older
OneScanner, but _not_ 600/27, so that idea has been stuffed for now.
So, suggestions/comments on CardBus SCSI Cards? Or, should I be
shopping for a 1394 or USB connected scanner instead;-)
TIA.

. Ideas as to the cause of this? Which
bus is it?! Motherboard bus, loose cardbus card? Is the machine
about to croak totally? Software conflict?! Thanks.

Thanks.
BTW, in regards to instability on Pismo with 9.2.2, I've been running it
for a while now, and it has been pretty solid. 9.1 was awful.
