Actually you can buy new iBooks from MCE with superdrives installed for
about $200 extra. Usually includes upgraded hard drive and ram as
well. Not a bad deal.
Matt
The iBooks do not have the Superdrive option either so that was
another draw to the PB.

Could be a faulty keyboard. Not sure if you can start without
keyboard, haven't tried it myself, and don't have my wallstreet with me
to try right now. Keyboard is easy to disconnect. Doesn't cost
anything to try.

Funny, my tray loading iMac has worked from day one. Guess you are

Yes, I think you're correct. My bad. It was late and I was blurring

I can vouch for the Capsure, but it will only import analog video. It
doesn't digitize it. Your best bet is to use something like the ADS
Pyro Pro (which will digitize your analog video and import and export
in multiple ways) and you could import via firewire PC card (which I

My understanding when I bought my Powerlogix upgrade was the card would

Although I believe a few folks were able to have more recognized, it

You are incorrect. Any G3 iBook will dual boot. Check the Special

There is no need to wait. As we just saw last week ANY update can have
a problem. OS X is very good as is. I have been running X on my

I've had almost 2 yrs. trouble free with the Bluechip. It's been

Now do you mean almost 2 years trouble free as in 22 months or so
Firewire works fine on Wallstreet. The MHZ limit is really what you
need to process digital video adequately. Now the speeds you get moving
data will not be as good as say the new iBooks, but it will certainly
connect you no problem. It will only limit the burn speed of a burner
you hook
Jaguar sounds fantastic, but, unless I upgrade from my wallstreet II and
older iMacs I can't really make use of all its speed and power. If I do
upgrade my hardware I won't have to shell out the big bucks just for
Jaguar. I really expected to get a price break on the upgrade since I

I know it's been ugly with powerlogix and replacements. But I've had a
bluechip upgrade in my WSII for 15 months with no problems. It would be
interesting to know what percentage of boards have failed. Anyone seen any
numbers?
