Yes, I have run Duos, Wallstreets, and Lombards from
the Duo power adapter. The only problem I have found
is the Duo P/S does not have as high a current
output, so it may not charge your battery while the
computer is awake. It will take longer to charge but
other than that there is no problem.
IIRC that is only with a G4 upgrade.

Is the new drive an ATA-6 drive? I have read Lombards
will not run on a ATA-6, max is a ATA-5. I don't know
if this is true on a Wallstreet.

Not necessarily, the Belkin card in the red/gray box
should have the broadcom chipset and will work with

Alex, I don't know if this has been brought up yet.
When you initially installed OSX did you check the box
to install OS9 Drivers? This is done on using Disk
Utility.
Just a thought. Mike

Hi All,
I have been learning from this list for a while and I
now have a problem I haven't been able to solve on my

recently decided to change to a Belkin G pcmcia card

I have used the bulk pack CDs for music (300+ burns) and had no
problems at all. If I was backing up data I might be more cautious
however.

I am running a Dell 1150 in my Lombard with a SMC router with no
problems. I found even though this is a re-badged Orinoco Gold it will
not work under airport software (OSX or OS9). The drivers I used is
WirelessDriver Beta5 , http://sourceforge.net/projects/wirelessdriver/
.
Good luck,
Under Network ( System Preferences) -Ethernet adapter
Under TC/IP Setup, Configure-Using DCHP (do not put in ip address let
Server do that)
Under System Preferences, Wireless Config - Put in name of network ,
then hit Apply Now to activate. You should see a signal strength on
the display.
The WaveLAN cards will work with OS 9 Airport software, however you
need outside drivers for OSX.

I use Thermograph on OS9. http://www.kezer.net/thermograph.html . I

Hi Vicky,
I finally fired up my Lombards to check the temperature. It runs about
63'c for light work to 75'c for processor intensive work. With mine I
removed the heat-sink from the top of the processor and put on new
thermal grease. It had already fried the L2 Cache so I felt I couldn't

Hi all,
As a new Lombard owner I have had no experience with Wi-Fi cards.
The preferred card seem to be the Orinoco Gold for those of us running
os 9.x. On ebay I see a plethora of Orinoco cards most are however
branded with another name, are these the same cards with someone else's
