Glad to hear its up and walking. Try running a CD cleaner through the CD drive. Sounds like its dirty or out of focus. There is an adjustment process for the drive, I had to do it for my 1400, but its a little complicated. Somebody had directions for the PB1400 CD drive (should be similar). I don't

I had the Wallstreet that had the disallowed symbol while starting in 10.2 I borrowed a ibook and moved my HD over. It still had the disallowed symbol so I put a 9 start-up CD in, and after starting from that told the HD to start from 9. Put it back in the Wallstreet and it is running again in 9
