Hi Caleb,
I am using a Lombard G3 400 with a bad processor L2 cache. I have
been using it with little problem for the last 5 months this way.
There is a hassle that comes with it. Anytime you shut down, you
must first press the reset button before booting. In OS9, you will

I dont recall any serious issues. The DVD drives of the time have a
rate of failure that is noticeable. The batteries are also sometimes
difficult to get working (again, old age).
People have sa

One thing that comes to mind is the Airport Extreme base station as
well as the Airport Express, both have a port for a USB printer that
can be accessed by any computer on the network.
Works well for me.

Has anyone got any suggestions for getting my Lombard to print over my

I had a infowave "powerprint" server working but it has stopped working
and I'm trying to find other options.
The wireless network is served by a Linksys BEFW11SF wireless AP and
Thanks all of you kind souls who provided advice on adding RAM to my
Lombard 333. From what I gather, replacing both the low profile
lower socket and upper socket with 256 MB modules should work just
fine to run OS X, but 512 is probably the maximum for this machine.

So my bottom-line question: Is it wise or risky replacing the bottom

should I be more convervative and replace it with a 256 unit?
I think you can safely update the memory on your Lombard. You just

OK, now I've upgraded my internal 2.5" hard drive on my Powerbook G3
(bronze keyboard/Lombard-333 mhz) from its original 4 GB to 40.
Despite one person's prediction that this Fujitsu ATA-6 drive would
not work, surprisingly it works flawlessly, so now it's on to my next
task, that of increasing

Hi...
Just bought some RAM to upgrade my Lombard (G3 400) and found it crashing
with OS X very often... Anyone know the problem?
My original configuration: 128 (high profile) + 64 (Low profile) (worked

my daughter runs jaguar on her 333 Lombard with 320MB RAM. It works
a lot better than I think it should. However, she has a 20 Gig
drive in it. I think you will really be pressed for space with a
6Gig drive--not to mention speed of the old drives. Get a new drive.
