I think it's your iBook, actually. If two batteries both exhibit
similar symptoms. the odds are it's the machine they're going
into, not the batteries.

the false amber/green light is an indicator.
here's the long(er) version of the explanation.
an iBook batt has a computer in it, for processing and figuring it's
capabilities.. But it needs (and constantly uses) electricity to run. YOu
MUST occasionallly recharge that battery, or it's dead.. onc

It does NOT have a PRAM battery, but rather the power is kept from the main
battery. THere is a smalll capacitor which will keep the PRAM hot for a
minute or so, if you pull the
