In certain zombie lore, they do moan/growl constantly. Max Brooks comes to mind. I could certainly see that being built into the game. If that doesn't work, however, you can identify zombies by their footsteps usually. Most zombies walk, and the zombie dogs run twice as fast as any player. HTH,
