Hi, Weather the game is installed or not probably doesn't have anything to do with it. Keep in mind the RS Client and Quentin's Playroom are not written in Visual Basic. I think whatever is wrong with your friend's games probably has to do with a Visual Basic compatibility issue with Win 7.
