The GMA map files are contained in the *.dm files. The are parsed,
probably in to binary, so only the engine can read them back.
The only way to read them in accessible format is to use the control+w
hot key to print out the level.

Technically the temperal disterbance is not a monster it is a tempral
disterbance or a rift in the time space continuum. You can't really kill
them in 1.2, but you can trap them in a room.

Bad idea. Using a timed blast mine destroys whatever the blob is
guarding, and in some places that will completely screw up your game.
Especially, if that time a blob has a security access chip you need.

As you have noticed the blobs are the fastest monsters in the game, and
the hardest to kill.
So when you are planning to fight one the key to success is having
plenty of room to move around, back up, and out maneuver it while
continuing to attack it.
It also doesn't hurt to use some bio

In short, keep practicing to kill cyborgs, blobs, etc. Sure they come
fast at you but if you practice you can get some strategies to get
around them or to kill them.

In many cases just injuring the blob will allow it to drop whatever it
has. The tricky part is getting around it fast enough to pick up up
before it it is on you.

Well, the obvious thing to do is to: A flush the toilet, B kill the blob
with whatever weapons you have, and C to then collect what items it is
carying. Usually. It has some projectile ammo, but has been known to
have other things.
Then, it is on to the next room in your quest.
