Is gsch2pcb reading gafrc or any other config file?
I am looking for easy way to configure another location of m4 footprints. I
know that gsch2pcb looks for several default locations and there is a
commandline option to tell the alternate one, but it has to be typed in each
time
under certain circumstances.

No, it's a conceptual problem with DRC. It is perfectly reasonable to
consider the pins on a pot as inputs

vss/vdd and added two pins, vdd(pin no 16) and vss (pin no 8).

For m4 parts, look for those that have dimensions (especially pin spacing)
specified by big numbers and then divided by 100 or 1000. This significantly
reduces the accumuluation of pin spacing errors. M4 has integer arithmetics, so
the resulting pin positions are rounded to 1mil.

drill helper, all pins are drawn with a much smaller drill hole.

polished style. Now, after having upgraded to the latest and greatest
version, I notice that graphic lines (including component symbols) are
much lighter/thinner than nets, thus degrading elegance and

You can try to use qucs instead of spice. This is a real RF/microwave
simulator. I also had problems with simulating transmission lines in spice.
