Perhaps the paradigm we are looking for is more like version control,
where incremental changes are made to a body, and when happy with a
complete set we tag the set.
It would be neat to be able to store and access components of
configurations in a version control system or other registry

Talking about the legend_options and forceLabels, does it work for
anybody? I've tried using it, but it seems to be getting lost before
the GetLegendGraphic request. I just want to confirm it is broken
before I submit a patch for it.

We were just looking for a bar to jump over for our WPS work. If we can
