Dear all
I'm using gimp to deal with my photos which are made of DSLR.
These ttif files have embedded exif information, and every time I save
these files; it seems that the exif information will be stripped.
I have done some tests on jpeg files; gimp will not strip the exif information.
How can I
I ran into the same thing. I "solved" it on my system by changing the
X and Y resolution to 600 pixels/inch in the Print Size dialog. The
previewed image looked VERY tiny, but it printed the way I wanted.
I fiddled around the Image Scale to fine tune the output size.

spill out an obscure uninformative error message
instead of the traceback of the script.

Folks;
dealing with python-fu quite a while ago (early gimp 2.2, I guess), I
haven't dealt with this for quite a while, just to stumble across it once
again by now, figuring out a few things obviously changed:
- Initially, I used to write up a script, dump it to .gimp/plug-ins, start
the Gimp and
