No, you need to install GNUCASH from source, not Guile.

I've got GnuCash 1.4.0, installed under Mandrake 7.0 from the RH 386 RPM.
In doing a "reconcile" of my checking account, I noticed the following
problems:

the RPM please consider looking to see if you can't chop off the ".4" on
libguile.so and the ".3" on libreadline.so so that we can use the "generic"
