Anyone in the Atlanta area, or surrounding states involved with
OpenVista? I would like to me and learn. I DO know that time is
valuable and I'm willing to compensate.

I've gotten pretty far into the installation. However, I faced with an
issue. The PRIMARY MENU OPTION: is only allowing me to enter 'EVE3'
and not 'EVE'.
When I move forward into the installation to Set up menus for the System Manager

Actually, I was thinking about how people might interpret that to

Pkale;
EVE3 is EVE, just slightly renamed so that you don't get a select list
with EVENT menu options and it is easier to type.
You do need to establish the XUMAINT option and well as some others
before you log in. Put these into your secondary menu list and that should
work. As a

VistA needs to know who you are, for example to control which files
or options to which you have access. I think Nancy's instructions
include the procedure for signing in.

The request for Access Code at this point in the proceedings is a new
thing added to the most recent releases. It wants to know who's messing
with it.
Try this:
enter S DUZ=1 before
D Q^DI
That should get you started as User #1
Thanks JohnLeo ! After setting the DUZ=1 , I could
proceed with the further instructions.

I have been looking at the code for the log-in from
^ZU. There is a access code that will cause skipping
asking for a verify code, and immediately log the user
in as the postmaster.
In my system, this causes a freeze, I believe because
the postmaster doesn't have a primary or secondary
menu set.
If there is no primary menu, ^ZU should print out an error message
and exit immediately. You can't sign in this way without having a
primary menu.
