Hello all,
I was at a friends house last night working on their computer. They had
a virus on the computer that I knew of and because of AOL and a Norton
Def update on March 15th the Internet stopped working. After calling a
special Symantec hot line for this fix I was able to get back on

It =had= been pulled, but now that Vista is pushed back to 2007, there is some
talk about trying to re-integrate it. Though, as of right now, it's still not
in.

I don't think any of that talk has been on the MSFT side, just outside
speculation.
With business Vista still shipping on time, consumer Vista still supposed
to go RTM this year, and the fact that such a substantial change would
require -much- more QA time means WinFS in Vista isn't going to
I've become pretty fond of MSI for AMD-based boards, but I still like Asus

Well that's part of the reason it's slow at start up (and slow
generally.) But you may be infected with something else (the
consumer grade Symantec products aren't really much good.) You

can find no one who has any of these puppies on hand, talking to newegg, they
said they expected maybe in 3 weeks.
WTF is the deal?

Which models would you recommend? I'm looking for a lower end model
for Sempron/Celeron and a higher end for 64/P4.

Strongly consider the Asus A8N32-SLI. One of the better boards I've worked
with in a while.
On a cheaper but high quality end, the FoxConn NFU8KKA-KRS Motherboard is very
solid NF4 Ultra (non-SLI) for the cost.

The Oki isn't actually a laser--it is an LED. I've only had one Oki printer.
It worked great for about a weekend, then mediocre for couple of years (very
low usage) before it died. Won't bother again.
