We have a new librarian, Devis Iosefzon, from Israel, at our very
vibrant Jewish communal Library - the Jacob Gitlin Library - under
the auspices of the Western Province Zionist Council in Cape Town.
They use a simplified Dewey system of classification, and a very

I'd love for these to be claimed before Shabbat. I'm happy for them
to go to an individual or a library, whoever has use for them.
Whatever none of you want, I will ship off next week with whatever

Hi everyone. I've got a patron who has a vague memory that there
had been an orthodox rabbi who had either written something, or gave
a talk on, connecting Judaism and secular fairy tales. Does anyone
know what she might be referring to? Any leads appreciated.

Does anyone know of a biography of Hannah Senesh for young children? We have
Hannah Szenes - a song of light. It's fine but a bit mature.
Also, is there such a thing as a Sefer Ha-Agada edited by A.B. Yehoshua? I
can't find one but it's hard to search Hebrew spellings.
Thank you!
Barbara

You raise a lot of really interesting questions Stephanie. I wonder
if it would be possible to get some of the Hebraica/Judaica
librarians or other AJL members on this list to do video conference
presentations on some of the topics you mentioned...

I have discovered some portfolios and a book or two that someone--I
know not who--brought back from pre-1948 Palestine and these items
ended up in our temple. They are by famous Israeli artists--e.g. a
portfolio of prints by Boris Schatz (founder of the Bezalel School),
including a booklet
