Then again, hindsight really is 20/20 - you wouldn't be having this

But under Linux there is no 'Visual Studio', and someone who comes

Tom,
There are about as many Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
for Linux as there are for Win-Blows.
Metroworx Codewarrior for Linux is a commercial IDE that equals or exceeds
Micro$haft Visual Studio in functionality and ease-of-use.

Apart from the humor, this looks to be very well thought out by

Releasing the source goes beyond the point of annoying
kid to federal criminal.
Yes and with the Millions and Million valve has invested into this thing you
can bet the FBI is involved.

No offense to anyone, but that's a pretty rediculous sounding rumor. Why
exactly would Valve give ATI a copy of their HL1, CS, TF2, and HL2 source
code? What, are they contracting ATI to proofread their code comments?
Actually ATI having at least partial code makes sense. I remember reading

For those of you running dedicated servers I've seen 2 or 3 poeple post

buffer overflows in hlds. Of course, none of them were willing to
comment any further so I don't know how great a threat this may be.

Gabe Newell from Valve Software posted on our very own forums regarding the
source code leak. He confirms that it is real, and he describes some
trouble he and the company have had recently with hackers. Here's a bit of
politely request that people on this list refrain from giving out
information to help other people gain from Valve's loss.
Point taken, I'll shut up now.

Halflife2.net, isn't that owned and operated by Valve as well? I just

I don't think that would've mattered. The source code was probably grabbed from
SourceSafe (or equivalent) using someone's network
