FreeBSD 5.4 p1 - the htt patch is a mess, and with analysis by my devs
they have determined it as the cause of every problem, one of them
will be creating a reverse p1 patch, to apply every time after a full

ZoneAlarm is notorious for blocking stuff it should not - even when it isn't
running. Anytime I trouble shoot a connectivity problem, one of the first
things I do is make sure they are not running ZoneAlarm or any form of
Symantec security, as both of them are known to block things that should not

I have confirmed the following:
FreeBSD 5.4 - modded linux_socket.c and non modded on an Asus board
(with or without HT Fails)
The Same configuration, with an Intel Board, HT on, also fails,
however with HT off, it works flawlessly, somehow HT is affecting all
of this, and its board specific too.
or install the linux gdb... then it looks in /compat first...

Using any cheat program can result in a ban, no matter the subset of its
functionality you actually use. If you want to alter cvar values then set
"sv_cheats 1" for the period you want it altered. Using cheats at any time is a
violation of the Steam Subscriber Agreement (and always has been).

I've released a new HL2DM map and I've had several people ask if it runs ok
on a linux server, there are apparently some linux related bsp issues.
I would appreciate it if someone could put it up for a few and and let me
know if they see any problems.

tbh I've only ever had issues with the update tool when I'd had

Out of interest what's the backtrace. N.B. to get a full backtrace

Aggressive and unfriendly yes, absolutely. Why would I be kind to an
admitted cheater?
I despise cheaters. They ruin multiplayer games, period.
And I find an admin that sets sv_cheats 0, turns on vac or vacbeta, and uses
a known cheat to bypass it, despicable.
If he or anyone else wants to cons
why would they out of nowhere give some random cvar 'cheat' status for
no reason? Right, they wouldn't. They'd have a reason to do so. As
curious as any of us are, there's really no reason they absolutely
must explain every little decision they make.

you still seemed to have an unfriendly undertone.
