Marcel, are you saying that the writeid and writeip commands are in your

Nope, my DOD server has been running like a champ with 18 players minimum
for the last 6 or 7 hours.
Its 1:00 am and there's 19 players in it right now on dod_flash.
Maybe its a client side issue due to the tonight's steam update.

disable one of the servers (so that there are only 3 servers) and I
start the 5th it runs fine. This confuses me. Shouldn't the server not
"run out" of memory? Shouldn't it get thrown into the swap?
Thanks for your time,

This is the lamest thing I have ever seen in the 6 years of playing valve
games.
Every 5 to 10 minutes half my 32 slot server gets kicked with that error.

Actually with linux using so little of the ram, you should easily be able to
run one server on there... as long as they are not all bots =p. I see my
servers (40 man) using about 300 megs each

would seem only users who have been logged onto steam for a few hours can
connect. i.e. have a valid ticket.

We are looking into this. You

http
Without the bz2 files on the http, just the native .mp3s the game server
falls back to .ztmp sending which is very slow, but all the files are sent
in one go.
It all worked before the bz2 introduction.
I'm going to try it with maps and other

A) Just the .bz2 files speced in the game server .res or .lst files for bz2

Is that correct?

up a fresh server and downloading the cache afresh, but I doubt that will

The simplest fix that I can see is giving us an option to turn it of or
disabling it until it works?
Everything was working fine up-until May 13th update i.e. port/inferno/bz2
update.
