I certainly preferred Edgar to ISPF. It took me a long time to get away
from having the prefix area on the left side of the screen rather than on
the Edgar right side. I think that I still have an Edgar manual somewhere.

No flames needed yet. When you get more comfortable with Xedit, you
will light them yourself.

Then, too, there is TERM MODE CP. If set, then the PUR EXEC would not be
executed. Neither would any other CMS command.
This setting would be quite rare for most users.
Richard Corak
Since you determined the user has a PUR EXEC, they could also use CP PUR
to not run their exec.

I have a CMS user that is trying to purge his RDR
files from his RDR queue. He issues the PUR RDR ALL
command and gets the READY message back but the files
are not purged.
I end up logging on to MAINT and purging his files.
Has anyone ever run into this?
Thks,

Does he have a PURGE EXEC in the search order?

Hi Rich,
No, but he has something called PUR EXEC.
So, it would appear that when he entered the command,
it tries to execue this PUR EXEC instead of the CP
command.
Thanks

Its a good thing that we have SFPURGER around along
