My MTNL broadband connection was finally setup a few days ago and
I'm getting great throughput on it (downloaded fiesty over the net - I
love this :)). Just a warning though. Apparently the MTNL people have
run out of ports and there are about 70k pending broadband
applications in

AFAIK the upload/download speeds offered/advertised by the ISPs is only
guaranteed up to their POP (Unless you are on an IPLC).
