Personally, I check Windows' Event Viewer. In the Application Log, it
shows SYMScan as the source. Look for the blue Information icons, Event

FWIW, I had an employee forward me a message from one of her friends at
another company... saying anything coming from 'admin' having an

Just for the record, M$ Outlook Express does NOT have this capability.
I tried to change the password in the Accounts Properties, and it
changed the client only, not the server.

Rich-Text (HTML)-formatted emails will have that vertical bar on the

Rick & Sharyn,
How timely this forum can be! I had a user complain about this exact
problem yesterday. Turns out, her customer is using a Stationery background
(from Outlook Express 6) and sure enough, viewing the source of the webmail

Thanks for the reply Scott. However, as a sometimes-programmer, I fail to
understand how Imail can write information into a log, but can't use that
same information in the bounce? And this has been going on for how long,
and it's not "fixed" yet?

Greetings All!
My first foray into email admin'ing and I think I've screwed

When I first set up IMail (v7.12) and it asked for a host
name, I used "idlp.com" since our email addresses are [EMAIL PROTECTED]. However, externally we
reach the WebMail by going to mail.idlp.com,

line which starts "X-RCPT-TO:" and then a correct email addy. If I can see
it in the Header info, why can't IMail?
I realize I have lots to learn, but this is where I must start. Thanks in
