Assuming you're using the IMail AV add-on from Symantec... Personally, I check Windows' Event Viewer. In the Application Log, it shows SYMScan as the source. Look for the blue Information icons, Event ID 105. That will tell you "The CarrierScan Server has updated its virus definitions." If the
