Skype would be a definite possibility. I know that some folks have some issues with the security and Skype's desire to use all your bandwidth, but it should be great for this. Another option would be to send a MacBOok with the kid and have him use iChat. Using iChat would allow for

Jackie, If you find something that you think really works well, please share it. I use skype to see my grandkids and also to talk to Scott F and David Herzog at MCP - occasionally. We found that you can show your desktop to the other side. I have also showed video from my flip video camera
