Thanks for the information. I checked their site and it looks good and similar to
what I was using before. I will give them a call.

How many email addresses do you have? I might have a solution if the
numbers are small enough. I use Guinevere and love it. Problem is,
they just entered a contract agreement with Beginfinite that will limit
it to 250 email addresses on the honor system (I am immune from this as

We are toying with the idea of going all Linux (or mostly Linux - thin
clients with some dual-boot systems) at the Jr. High / High School. I
know that's not an option for most districts, but as I see it, I don't
need to purchase software ( Oh, we did buy Star Office for PC's and
Linux for $25 ), an
I am using the McAfee Corporate version of Antivirus software, which
like the Trend NeatSuite has many other components for scanning emails,
servers, and workstations. I have worked with Trend, Norton Corporate
and the McAfee. They all work pretty much the same way, all servers find

I have eliminated most of my desktop problems by installing Centurion guards or
driveshield on all lab machines. Next year I will also be installing them on my staff
machines. I do know they also have one that works with the mac. If you use their
software version it is easy to manage and disa

George makes a good point - one can block many, if not all of these at the
firewall. The question I have is whether the firewall is _really_ enough
protection. SonicWall, for example, has their attachment scans, but it's
not updated live unless you
I can vouche for George on this one. I installed that for one of my clients

district. However, I've installed another product in a non school setting

set it once,

Jackie,
We have been using Virex and have been very very happy with it --until

We are currently using the Sophos product, and it is great. We haven't
ever used the Macintosh piece, but when we were evaluating different
products, it worked just as described. But, we have never deployed the Mac
version in the district. Highly recommended!!!
