I have this radio and am amazed. Numerous TAs from Europe, Africa Middle
East, and carriers from Asia DUs, just using a small loop. It won't bankrupt
anyone on batteries. Battery life depends on backlight use preamp (DX) use,
but can be up to 80 hours on alkalines (4 D cells).

most mornings. Fortunately it was after LSR and the IBOCers from CA and

Well after getting back from a job, I decided to check the gutters and
clean them out if needed. Not bad. After cutting down the last of that
Shorepine tree last Spring, the gutters were not filled with the

Located about 4 miles from the Port of Tacoma in the Puyallup River Valley, my
location is far from the best, but being exactly

Date: Sunday morning (late Saturday night), Oct. 21, 2007. Time: 2 - 4 a.m.
Central Time. 5,000 watts using their normal daytime pattern. Programming

interest were KUGN KOPT. It's amazing that KUGN can be heard at S-3 on your
receiver. That's about 220 miles as the crow flies. Yet KPNW is not received
and they have 50 kw. The same situation here with KUGN

Are you sure its an SR 2 Not an SR-3 ?? SR-! 2 have tuning caps
that shouldnt get dirty but SR3 uses a pot that does.

The Eastern beverage is really cooking tonight, but there is a lot of t
storm activity in Eastern Oregon causing a lot of noise, but there is an
UNID oldies station u/KFI on 640. They just played Chain of Fools by
Aretha Franklin. Ideas?
