Bright lights not only help folks like
you and I see, they can also, if properly used, reveal a lot of hypocrisy.

cards are "valid" then don't send in reception reports. No harm, no
foul. The club(s) have both decided that we're going to offer the
service to stations...if they accept then both the station and the
clubs consider these verifications as

WJLB 1400, Detroit, used to have George Bryson signing its QSL's. George
was a slightly crazy 17-year old IRCA member whose "handle" was "J-Evil." I
knew IRCA'ans at the time who said they would never consider a QSL signed by
him worth anything.

I finally understand what all that noise is on both sides of WSAI.
They must be IBOCing! Have been doing it for more than two years now.
Makes me wonder if IBOC degrades analog signals or effects normal analog
power output. Until the noise started, WSAI was unassailable on 1530 &

To put in my two cents on the s/on's, s/off's, I recall somebody reporting
to EDXR, WARR, 1520, when it first came on, with, I think, 500 watts. Its
s/off declared that the staff had listened to other stations and found only
pale imitations of WARR. At that point the stn may have been a week old!
