I've updated JFW to the latest version that just came out. I'm using AVG
Internet Security version 8. I can now get to the AVG interface and check
my settings, but the AVG interface still crashed when I changed e-mail
scanner settings or firewall settings.
I wonder if I have to re-ins
when I start my computer and it is on the log one
window.
and the first tings is:
it told me that I ahve 12 unread mail.
and I tab one
and it go to the shut down button.
and tab again, it is the user name.

I am having these types of problems, too. I emailed AVG back in March and
they said that it was a problem with other programs interacting with AVG.
What I've done is upgrade to the latest AVG and that has sort of fixed the
problem... and when a crash happens, just restarted AVG.

web pages automatically. This can be set using the Adjust JAWS Options
dialogue box, under the general options category I think. Anyway, look for

I've downloaded the new AVG 8.0 and I don't like it at all.
I wish I would have known that I could have kept 7.5 until December 31,
2008, because I would have.

In my oppinion you can't expect any free version to be as good as the paid
version. Avast isn't rated that well even though the free version might have
more features than free AVG. That's just something to consider. I'm not trying
to start an arguement about which is better though.

Once again, messages on this list have saved me from a real handful of problems
with the new version of AVG. I wanted to take a moment to thank the owners
and the members for being honest and above board about problems they are
having. For the moment, I'm sticking with Windows Live One Care.
These programs are like the flavors at Baskin & Robins, a well known ice-cream
vendor in the U. S. Or, if you prefer, "different strokes for different
folks". Chris, you have a real issue with AVG at any time. I must point out
that the best way to get protection from any of these packages is
Avast free which I am test driving so to speak is working right now on my
system that is 7 years old running jaws 5.1 as a matter of fact without any
accessibility issues at all.

How I have to agree with your below comments. I would also suggest that one
download the AVG version 8 Free manual to get a feel for the program. Using
the alt + tab and JFWS cursor and menu bar can get one around the program
