Hans Pauli,
Thank you for your reply.
I went to this site and found the newest version of Adobe Flash Player. I
found a couple of things that were puzzling.
First, there was a warning about the newest version being a beta version and
caution was recommended for those who wanted to install it.
we have an old laptop here running win 95 A on a 100 mhz cpu wiht 40
megs of RAM.
We bought that laptop before i lost my sight and I did use it with
speech once upon a time. However, I do not remember what jaws version
I used at the time.
Does anyone know the system requirements of the jaws
3.71 should work fine on that old system.

every message says not selected. I have to hit the space bar to select it to
read it. I never had this happen before. How do I fix jaws

Because the hardware is perfectly good still and this box may go to
someone who just needs something for text processing and maybe a
little reading of etexts. the latest and greatest is not always
necessary nor affordable.

You're welcome, I had a 95 box at some time in the past as well.

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive
twice.

Hi all:
I tried Windows Essentials but I didn't like the interphase that much.
Any free mail clients that work well with JFW and are easy to use--preferibly
without ribbons?
Thanks,

Hi again.
If all your needs on the internet can be resolved by using the 32 bit
browser, than it is not necesary to install the 64 bit version.
That is correct, that this pre release which is in beta at the moment, not
will update automatically, and later updates reqquires, that the previous

This is not just a question which version of jaws will work on win 95
but which version is doable with the system specs.
You are right: jaws 6.2 is the last version to support win 95 but I
think this might be to much of a system hog for our little old dino.
TThanks for the feedback!

My friend uses this program at work so it's possible it's a corporate version
of some kind. They're using Jaws 12 and can't seem to find any kind of Find
Command. Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Well, for messages, there's the control+shift+f command. If you're
referring to text, then I don't think there's one. At least I'm not aware of
it.

Hello David and Friends,
I still have my Gateway Windows 98 First Edition set up and loaded with
JAWS 5.0
I ran JAWS 3.3, and indeed 3.7 was great, 4 was horrible, but 4.5 and
version 5 was great also!
Never had a problem with any of the JAWS versions except JAWS 4.0,
So even way back then,
Thanks Chris. Works just fine now.
Cheers
Stephen
