Hi Brian,
There are so many kinds of print types font sizes etc, that it is hard to
obtain good scan results each time.
One thing you can try, is changing the OCR engine that OpenBook is using,
such as Fine Reader, Recognita etc.
I am not using version 9 right now, so I can't tell you exactly which

Hi Brian,
You have to pair off Openbook 9 with a printer/scanner that doesn't give you
a headache.
I know for a fact from my friends that HP, Brother, Dell, and cannon it
works good.

All, not a great solution, but if you can, having both Openbook and K1000 on
your computer is a good option. I fortunately have had both for at least 15
years and so only have to buy upgrades. But K1000 is great at dealing with
the odd "pdf" document that will not open except by using K1000.

Hi Jorge,
Actually about 13 years ago, I was introduced to WMP, and Real Player,
and didn't care for either one.
Someone introduced me to Winamp, and I have been using it ever since.
My audio needs are pretty simple, so Winamp does the trick,
others may have more demanding needs.
