I am using Vipre Internet Security 2015 which has its own built in firewall.
It does a great job, and I seldom have to create a web site exception for
the firewall to let some content

Once Spybot ended up eating a file that informed my computer that I was
running my own firewall, so I always get that message that no firewall is
turned on. Knowing that, I leave the Windows firewall off but make sure my
3rd party firewall is active. Running two firewalls at the same time is

Because the windows fire wall works only one way, its best you go with
something else such as macafee.

After reading one of the messages, on this list, I looked in my "control
panel" and found that my "Windows" firewallwas off.
I clicked it on.
Since then, I have had a terrible time with my MacAfee and Spybot.
My MacAfee says that I am not protected and I can
