Would it be acceptable to you simply to uninstall IE8 and then disable tab
browsing in IE7? That would give you the benefits of IE7 without the tab
browsing- if that is your only issue. You will find it under Tools, Options,
and the General tab of the IE7 menus.

Dear All-
I experimented saving some Word docs in Office 2007 format (with the
compatibility pack installed but without 2007 installed on the machine) and
it took forever with latest JAWS and 2 GB of RAM on XP-Pro. Are you finding
that you have to purchase more RAM in order to run Office 2007
I'm late on this thread due to vacation, but did not see my reply posted

, that 7 didn't. JAWS 7 does not have the built in
support for these things. JAWS 10 did a pretty good job with IE 8 but JAWS

Are you familiar with the changes in IE7? There are a lot of toolbars and
buttons near the top of the screen that you will encounter will tabbing.
Perhaps these are throwing you off a bit. If you hear 'Home Split Button'
one more tab will return you to the page. If you hear address bar, perform
I use BitDefender-- does the documentation actually say that there is no
conflict? BitDefender has always stated to uninstall other programs, and
their tech support even told me to uninstall Super-antispyware- stating that
it could cause BD to malfunction.

Read a well-documented article the other day which states that in bench mark
tests, Windows 7 was much faster than VISTA but still slower than XP. The
article also stated that you can expect a 30% more power drain- especially
of interest to laptop users.
