think Java Web Server from SUN is only JSP release 1.0 compatible I just
would like to develop JSP (and Beans) compatible with JSP Public Draft 1.1.

Our application uses JDBC to search
a 23 Giga bytes database(sybase)..

Go to the \JavaWebServer2.0\jre\bin in a dos prompt window, than execute:
java -version
my system responds with:
java version "1.1.7B"
Check the on-line documentation of Java Web Server to see how to use
another version of java virtual machine, is a simple matter.

Apache is to my knowledge best webserver.
Either with JServe&GNUJSP or jakarta-tomcat you can have
both servlets and jsp's.
For EJB you need some extra stuff, but it is not requsted here.
