Hey Knetters, I'm 48. About 5 years ago I discovered I had Diabetes type 2. This was after I had discontinued my flight training. I have 25 hours. I am going to start training again. Where will I stand with my medical? I don't take medication at all, and control my desease with diet and exerc

KR Group, I don't know what the exact requirements for diabetes are but I believe if you're not on insulin and "under good control" you can still get a 3rd class medical. I do know that a cut-off of 4.0 for a HbA1c is not correct. I'm not diabetic and my A1c is probably higher than 4... Lane
