It seems the Glad oven bags that we use in Australia have tiny holes
perforated in them and are made of the crinkly type of cellophane-like
substance. Our lace has been stored in these for 20 years as far as I
can ascertain with no problems at all.

As to ironing and starching bobbin lace: I never do it. I think that a
bobbin lace is in the best condition it can possibly be on the very minute you
take all thel pins out. Nothing can improve on that.
