Waight. They retired four or five years ago but before that made beautifully

I have few of those East Midlands and Honiton types.
They were sold by J & J Ford, who I think were the bobbin makers, and at the
time there was a very long waiting list, but I never did know who the artist

Did anybody mention Ken Van Dieren from Rochester, New York. I also know that
Holly Van Sciver did bobbins too from Ithaca, New York. In less than two weeks
away is Finger Lakes Lace Guild lacing weekend event. Holly always does a
special bobbin for the event since she doesn't make alot of them
OK. So as I see it, it was the extraordinary popularity of the Kiwanis Club
that was to blame. I hope you were able to figure out how it had increased
its membership so spectacularly in this day and age when group joining
(especially lace groups) seems to be on the wane.

Normally, when the local lacemakers exhibit our lace, we set it up. We are
given a table (or two) and told to do whatever we want. Most of us have
folding display boards with lace already mounted. We just unfold and stand
