What do you mean? It should show on the context menu when you right click a
symbol in the source code editor I believe. Isn't Find Declaration showing
there at Lazarus? (as done in Delphi). Not all people want

With opensource you can change it to your liking.
I suppose you mean free software, not open source.
There is a lot of open soruced softwares out there that doesn't allow
you to change their code.
