Hello I'm running Dachstein CD on a couple of routers at work and at home. Pretty much standard installations with static ip external and local, no DHCP, some IpSec tunnels. I'm thinking about adding wireless connections on some of them. What would be the best way to do that? Can I just add a PCI o

Thanks for the feedback. We have been using FloppyFW for 2 years now. It is hard for me to do an objective comparison of the two packages because I have been personally using Eigerstein, Dachstein and now Bering. So I have grown very accustomed and comfortable to the way it is structured. I am tr

This is my first time on this list, so please be gentle. :) After reading all the docs, previewing the logs, and lurking on this list for a while I finally decided to try Bering. My goal is to get the three-interfaces setup on Shorewall along with the pptp server to allow access to the DMZ from

[leaf-user] Can't install Bearing on IDE

Hi, I can't seem to get Bearing on my IDE working. Please help. Here are the steps I have done: 1. Have a stable Bearing version on a floppy disk with ide modules (ide-mod.o, ide-disk.o, ide-probe-mod.o) 2. Run lrcfg to edit modules to include all ide modules in the order above. Back-up every

Check the docs at: http://leaf.sourceforge.net/devel/jnilo/bubooting.html#AEN1119 You need to copy the ide*.o modules to the /boot/lib/modules directory and edit the /boot/etc/modules to load the modules at boot time (get to this thru the initrd package configuration menu) and then back up the ini

Hi, In case of WISP-Dist I include conntrack_h323/nat_h323 modules. The gotcha is that it doesn't support RAS (gatekeeper communication) though. I planned to play to test the possibility of including an H323 proxy, never had time yet though. TC wrote about "Re: [leaf-user] VoIP & SIP /H323 Pr

You have not copied the ide modules to /boot/lib/modules directory and not declared it in /boot/etc/modules file. This is loaded before linuxrc and if linuxrc were to read packages from IDE HDs, these drivers must have been loaded. This is why linuxrc looks at floppy0. Just copy them as above, back
