Solution is a lot simpler.
1. In windows computer I ran winipcfg.exe release all button. That releases
lease for this particular ethernet adress card than I conect cables back to LRP
server restarted server and it bounded lease to new ethernet card.
There is still question how to release lease in
plugged in order to be reset. I had my friend unplug the modem for 15

I thought about that I kept that modem unplugged for whole night. Didn't help.

I am on Shaw@Home in Calgary, Canada. I just upgraded to Dachstein CD and
did not have to add anything to the dhclient config. The firewall still
works fine. As a data point, it is with an old beige Motorola Cybrsurfer
cable modem. I used to have tons of intermittent problems I thought were

I went to set my cousin up (he has one of those blue modems) and it wasn't working. I
didn't try turning it off for 5 minutes though. I also hadn't had time to research it
either. Maybe after this holiday.

Just a blue-sky thought here ... there used to be reports, back on the LRP
lists, that, in some cases, clearing a MAC address required more than a
simple modem reset. Some people reported needing to power-down (as in unplug
from the wall socket) the modem for 5 minutes, presumably to clear some

different than my type of modem. It could also be a rogue dhcp server as
the resolution of a traceroute seems a little odd for the DHCP address.

Hi.
I'm with Rogers@home. They are leaving @home I think. I succefully ran
ES2B and than ewaldw release of ES2B. I left for few weeks and when I
came back firewall stopped working. I thought that maybe floppy went bad
so I made new Dachstein and I get same symptoms:
