Watching the highlights of a pretty abject performance yesterday, a problem
occurred to me: Bielsa has gotten players like Kalvin and Bamford playing in a
way that no other coach has ever managed. And when the team succeeds it’s
because he’s got them playing in a way that none of our previous co
ening, plenty of guesses, but why
guess. We will wait and see.

Someone asked the question about getting rid of Bielsa, and it is, sadly, a
fair one? Accepting the unbelievable progress of the last 3 years, performances
which I’ll never ever forget, Bielsa’s methods have been neutered by many
teams, and unless we score a hat-full then our
ext year, sadly.

Alioski defied my understanding at times. Not quick, often out of position, BUT
we invariably looked better with him in, he had an attackers instinct, and he
was quite prepared to foul/cheat to win! Plus he ran, and he ran and he ran! He
was prepared
